Above this little box it's telling me that if my profile is really lame, it won't matter how good my message is. That's unfortunate because I probably won't initiate a message anyways. I'm a little old-fashioned like that I guess.
I'm a uniquely amazing female, and instead of striving for normalcy and an unnoticed position in this society... I'd rather stand out. The side effect of this is that it makes it hard for me to be with people who see themselves as "just a typical dude"... While, yes, I do like spending time outdoors and am open to camping and hiking... I'm much more interested in the city life. Someday I will live in a big city. That's another unfortunate thing about finding an online date with typical Minnesotan men. It seems a lot of them like to write about their hobbies, which almost always consist of "I'm a big outdoors guy, I like to hunt, fish and ride my four-wheeler"... That bores me. I've done all three things, and would again, except hunting... but they are not things I have any strong desire to do.
I have an open-mind. I am not part of any religion because I don't need it to know God. I look at holidays as cultural traditions and I try to participate in many of them... like last year I had a Hannukah party. I don't take anything too seriously, I make fun of people I'm close to and I'm very sarcastic. I don't cry easily. I like a challenge and don't feel comfortable with extremely sensitive people. Positivity, optimism and idealism are things that attract me to other people, along with humor. I like adventures and learning new things. I'm looking to be swept off my feet with someone that has his sh*ttogether... but I'll let you know, I'm a wild card and am completely unable to jump into a relationship and form a committment without knowing someone for quite some time.
Also, I have a son. He's almost 2 and he is who my life is based around. I think I'd like to date someone who has a kid and knows the struggles... but I definitely need someone who likes children, because my son brings the color to a gray world and shouldn't be seen as anything less.
Some other basic things of importance: I'm a full-time college student (18 credits)Someday I'll be an art professor... and I have a job. Try balancing a 2 year old, college and work and you'll find yourself driven insane... but even if I'm driving toward insanity, at least I'm driven... so if you're a lazy couch-potato punk I probably won't dig you.
