I'm just a country boy that happens to understand computers and has been thrown into this city life that often annoys me (so many people, lol). I aspire only to live my life the best way that I can because I only get one chance at it.

I'm from a very small town (there was a 4-way stop and a gas station) in Ohio and will always love the country. I came out to the Chicago area at the beginning of 2008 for a job that promised more opportunities. To be honest, I don't like living in this area and don't much care for Illinois either, though I don't know when I'll head on down the road again since looking for work sucks, especially when one already has a decent job.

I generally like a movie if something blows up, but I enjoy movies that require some active participation as well. I like a wide variety of music, but mostly stick to hard rock, metal, symphonic metal, gothic rock, etc. I have been known to listen to a country tune or two, and symphonies, classical or otherwise, are excellent. If I need to hunker down and get some work done I listen to the trance or psy trance station on Pandora. So yea, my musical tastes are pretty wide open, and it's rare for me to not have some sort of music playing.

I love roaming around outdoors. I'd rather be outside than anything else, even if the weather is crappy. For every grand thing we as a people have built, nothing lives up to the awesome beauty of nature. I plan on going backpacking in Colorado in the next year or two, and I will be making it to Alaska at least once in the next 5 years. In all honesty, I think Alaska would be an awesome place to live.

To be fair, I have to list that I have a few extra lbs, because I do. But I've been working extremely hard over the past number of months to remedy that, and have made excellent progress so far. I'm really just a hearty country boy, not a portly computer geek.

I don't drink alcohol, but I'm not opposed to it. I might have a beer or two once in a blue moon (did you catch the pun...), but I got over drinking really quickly and just don't see the point anymore.

Given the choice between a busy party and sitting on the tailgate of a truck by a fire with a few good friends, I would choose the latter every time.

What am I looking for? Well, if you've ever heard "She's Country" by Jason Aldean, that's basically the kind of woman I'm looking for. I want a nice, easy going lady who's not afraid to get a little dirty and do something new every once and awhile. Someone who realized that we only get one shot at this life thing and doesn't want to waste it.

I don't rightly know... I suppose I would have to know a little about the person I was going to be dating to formulate a proper plan.
