I have been in South Florida going on 2 years, and honestly haven't made alot of my time here. Work and an 8 year old keep me pretty busy, but also I find travelling around the area quite complicated and frustrating. You could be 3 miles from a destination, and 30 minutes later, you might hit the parking lot. I like to hang out at local spots, go to the movies, chill out by the pool, and every now and then I might get into some trouble. A 2 day trip to the Keys is always romancing my mind, and I want to meet others who might think the same...and preferably camping oceanside while there.

My favorite book of all time is The Alchemist, which led me to read other works by Paulo Coelho, including The Witch of Portobello and Veronica Decides to Die. Although fictional writings, there is so much insight and realism to his writing and characters...an inspiration when you feel your life may not have gone in a direction you once had planned. I stopped planning my life about 10 years ago, and just let it unfold as I go. I have thoughts for the future and envision where my life will lead, but I won't be disappointed if I do not get there. I didn't plan my life to be as it is now, and I'm very blessed. I still imagine my life ten years from now, and take small steps to create what I consciously dream.

Although life has kept me busy recently, I'm ready to clear some space in my appointment book (or throw the book in a drawer for a while) for moments worthwhile.

Go for drinks at a local pub, maybe see a band, go to a concert or a ballgame; a night that includes sushi always gets a gold star; walk the streets in Coconut Grove or South Beach, take a drive to the Keys or to the west coast of Florida, or parasail over the atlantic. Something low key, something fun, and something memorable. Every date is different depending on who you are with.
