I'm a full-time geology student currently working towards a BS and then planning on going to grad school. School has been keeping me pretty busy, but in my spare time I love to play music, mostly electric and acoustic guitar. I tend to listen to and play heavier music, but sometimes I like to mellow out a little with some slower or acoustic stuff, but nothing too poppy or cheesy. I have a couple piercings and one tattoo, but nothing too crazy that sticks way out. I plan on getting at least one more tattoo in the future.

I spend a good bit of my free time working on cars and hanging out with other car guys. It doesn't distract me from other parts of my life, but it's something that I love doing. I don't spend hours detailing my car every day, but I hate having a dirty car...

I think the best way to describe yourself is to tell what other people say about you. I'm constantly told that I'm a caring, smart, compassionate guy who is loyal, funny, and most of all very laid back. I tend to be a little goofy and bring levity to a situation, but I can be serious and deep when I need to. And I have, on multiple occasions, been referred to as a "big teddy bear".

-I'll be the first to tell you that I am a bit of a nerd, and I actually enjoy my classes that are related to my major.
-I'm usually not the first one to make a move.
-I can't deal with someone who is really high maintenence or really needy.
-Being closed-minded/judgemental is probably my biggest turnoff.
-I've always been a sucker for a redhead.
-I often get caught staring when a girl has pretty eyes.
-I like to try weird or uncommon beer/drinks. Not a Bud Light drinker.
-I was born in Virginia Beach
-I live in the south but I don't consider myself southern.
-My biggest peeve is bad drivers.
-I listen to Irish/Scottish folk music on occasion (pipes & drums, etc.)
-I want to go see Dropkick Murphys live, in Boston, on St. Patrick's day.
-I like just about any kind of racing other than Nascar.

As far as a first date, I think it would really depend on who the date is with. I'm usually not a "classic" dinner and a movie type guy, and I try to mix it up. I like to find out what a girl's interests are and try to find something a little different that I think she'd enjoy.
