My name's Erik. "I'm 5'11", Hazel eyes (green during the day). We live in the land of false portrayal these days so let's just say it like it is. I'm born and raised in Hollywood and I work in the Film Industry. I'm an artist which evolved to a VFX Supervisor and eventually turned into a Producer, years of hard integral work. I'm also a drummer for an LA band. I'm just your average dude pursuing dreams. I like to build foundations and I'm lucky enough to have good friends and I keep my faith in the "Natural Flow" scenario where the right things happen at the right time.

I do a lot of painting and illustration in my spare time. I've spent about 9 years of my life in Europe, school, work, etc. so I can argue with you in several languages ;-) I love and live for adventure. I've been to the Arctic Circle and I also spent a year living on a small island off the West coast of Africa and all points in between. I didn't find true love there, but I got to experience a locust swarm. Lot's of stories to tell. Big deal, I'm not the only person that's ever traveled abroad, but I've been back home where I belong for a few years now. There are many more places I would like to see and hopefully will in time.

I have an extreme passionate lust for life and I'm always immersed in projects. I balance my life between production and art. I'm not the guy that's always gone, but when I'm on set I sometimes have to work 14 to 18 hour days, but I always come home :-) I consider myself very fortunate in doing what I love for a living and I have many more goals and dreams to pursue. I love the outdoors, hiking, biking, blading, boarding, volley ball, etc. I also love getting cozy on a couch and watching good movies and having my arm pulled out of it's socket when the movie gets scary. I love to drink wine with friends in festive environments and I love to dance. Last minute trips to Vegas or the mountains are a must!

I've worked out and taken care of myself my entire life, eating healthy, etc. and I tend to be very energetic in all facets of life so keep up with me ;-)

I love music that defines me. I write music avidly when I'm not on set and I get to reflect on moments in my life, good and bad. I think playing Duncan Sheik, Mazzy Star and the Sundays on calm nights with good company are unforgettable experiences.

I'm a happy confident optimist, but I have a few quirks about being here. I want love to be an experience, not "Store Bought."

Of course I want the Long Term, but you have to learn people first before you can make that jump and that also has to be earned from both sides ;-)

A big part of me also wants children, but my biggest fear is having to do that job alone, it's not a deal breaker if you don't want kids.

I have no tattoos or piercings and I have nothing against them, I find them to be very sexy when done tastefully. I just never had a reason to do that myself. Hygiene is also very very important to me and if you're the free-spirited unshaven bohemian type, odds are that I will not be interested in you.

I'm a relationship-oriented monogamous man and I'm not at all into the weird crap that I see going on around me these days, it's creepy. Nature equipped me well enough and I don't need any help with drugs or crazy lifestyles to come my way. If you've lived your life on the "Lunatic Fringe" in the past, please stay from me. If you've ever been a Cougar, don't even bother contacting me! I just want to maintain a normal down to Earth lifestyle and preferably with that one amazing woman who wants to share in the adventure.

The biggest thing that scares me about POF is the "Window Shopping" aspect that goes on here and how we attract each other. Everyone looking for the B.B.D. You can't know anyone until you meet them. Yes I have a well established career which exhibits my stability, but I would rather take you on a romantic trip as opposed to buying you a Fendi bag. Know that well in advance ;-)

FYI: I eat meat! I have nothing against Vegans, but I like what I eat, mostly fish, wild caught, smaller for less risk of mercury poisoning and I can cook all kinds of things. Above all, I DO NOT watch football or other sports on TV. I'd rather be doing other things that are much more, ahem, satisfying with that person in my life. I'm out-doorsy and athletic enough as it is, I don't need that waste of time. It's ok if you like sports, I'll participate to a reasonable degree.

I believe in World Peace, Spiritualism, UFOs' and Extraterrestrials, Mayan/Egyptian/Keltic Science and all kinds of fun things that we can chat hours on end about ;-) and just plain morals and ethics. I've visited and lived in well over 30 countries and I've seen my share. I have my take on the World, but I'm also open to suggestions because I'd like to grow further.

It is hard to trust in this city, LA/OC is extremely difficult to be single in because you just don't know peoples' agendas, but I'm here and we'll see what happens ;-) I'm totally down for taking care of my woman and happily rocking her world, but I DO NOT want to be your "Captain Save-A-Ho", please have your act together and just be down to Earth. I will reciprocate the same to you.

BTW I got divorced way back in 2003, so that's not a current issue for me and if you're hung up on a recent Ex, trust me, I'll pick right up on it and get turned off quickly.

Some say there are three types of men, I find that to be a pathetic prospect. You wont figure me out in one day. Semantics are deeply rooted in all of us ;-)

My Mac logs on to POF automatically so even if it seems I'm online, I may not be.

BTW My heritage is German Swede and I'm darn proud of it!

How can I even begin here? I like to be creative, we'll figure this out as we go along with the ritual ;-)
