Im looking for a mate not just a date... a best friend to share the days and nights of our lives.. a woman of Christian faith with a great sense of humor who chooses to be happy, to laugh, to forgive, and with compassion for the less fortunate. You can accept the differences between men and women, and will not hesitate to touch, cuddle, hug, caress, or show affection. We'll enjoy sharing what we have in common and support each others independent interests. I grew up in a small southwest farm town so I dont really relate to the ocean, beach, or water activities except maybe a swimming pool. Im not materialistic or obsessed with money. I truly enjoy personal interaction and engaging conversation. I have a warm hearted nature and Im not afraid to show it. I believe everyday home life with the right companion is the ultimate romance.

Ive always enjoyed all aspects of music. I played the drums from childhood till graduating from college. After a 25 year recess, I recently bought a set of electronic drums that I can play privately with headphones! I enjoy a wide variety of music, but I prefer upbeat rock styles like Zep, Tull, Hendrix, Genesis, Tool, NIN, blues, progressive jazz, and new Christian. Fav praise songs Amazing Grace, In Christ Alone.

FOR FUN
I like dinning out, a movie, or visiting with friends and family. There's always plenty of local attractions and events to choose from. I usually take 1-week vacation every year to see family in NM and AZ. Im not real big on travel, but with someone special, a 1-week vacation or long-weekend getaways would be nice to create shared memories. I think dating and leisure time together are necessary to keep romance in a relationship.

RELIGION
Faith is important to me. I enjoy and regularly attend contemporary Christian church service (Baptist). Have attended other Protestant and non-denominational churches. I believe a special bonding is experienced from worship together.

MY EDUCATION
After high school, it took several years to learn the standard of living I wanted required more than entry level jobs. So I was quite motivated when I decided to pursue an engineering degree.

FAV THINGS
I get personal gratification from solving problems, and working with my hands to accomplish something constructive. Whether its the house, garage, yard, music, my classic muscle car, or my PC, I like having many projects to choose from.

Subatomic Particle Physics For Dummies ;-) Actually, I like mags or newspapers for the learning. I like that format because articles can be completed in one reading. The Bible, Electronic Musician, PC, and car mags are favorites.

MISC
But wait, there's more! I open doors and give up seats for women and children. I always leave the toilet seat down. Im very easy going, even tempered, and love to laugh. Fav channels are Discovery, SciFi, History, Military, HGTV, TNT, and Speed. I shower morning & night. I cant handle tantrums, excessive tats, facial piercing, rap music, or abusive language. I usually prefer DVDs over movie theaters. Im too old to consider having babies (but still enjoy trying). I can handle mall shopping. I don't have a hairy back. I'd slow dance in the kitchen while dinner cooks. I like 75-85 deg temps. Im more interested in lasting chemistry than instant chemistry. I like having many different colognes to choose from. I love NM chile. Actually, I dont have a hairy front either. Except for work, Im usually barefoot or wear sandals. I would feel insecure with a taller woman. I think its natural for dogs to be outside. I would like to elope when I marry. I have one drink every night. My views are mostly traditional & conservative. I leave the TV on for background noise. I wish German chocolate cake was considered a food group. WHEW!

CAN YOU RELATE..
Enjoying a honeymoon lifestyle on adventurous vacations with money to spend and no schedule or responsibilities, thats pretty easy to do. Im more interested in the other 340 days of the year when real life happens. Like when you catch a cold, when your not wearing make-up or when I need to shave.. when there's dirty clothes, dishes, floors, and cars.. when we disagree.. when we watch TV, go to church or grocery shopping.. birthdays, relatives, budgets, work, and traffic. These are the days that I want to experience companionship, romance, laughter, and understanding.

Dinning out (lunch or dinner) is my pick for a first date. We can enjoy good food and have plenty of time to continue conversations from our phone calls. Thats not too formal since we both have to eat, and its a good environment for communicating. I'd be open to other options that provide ample opportunity for communicating and personal interaction (just no loud music, beach scene, or extreme ethnic cuisine).
