I am reasonably educated,have been a public speaker and instructor, a good conversationalist in many areas, understand relationships and needs physical and emotional. I would eventually like to travel and see as much of this country as possible and not afraid to try new foods and other things. I have held a pilot's certification. I have lived in Hong Kong for a period, been to the Caribean, Montreal and British Vancouver. I have lived in New England, Florida and North Carolina. My perfect house would be close to the sea. I have been known to fish a little but do not hunt after Viet Nam my views are different about fire arms. I do my best to keep a tidy living area and know my way around a kitchen. I have a dish washer that is rarely if ever used. My grandchildren say Grampa can fix anything. Gentle is better. Listening is better than talking a lot of the time. Laughter is the best and a good well rounded sense of humor is by far the best medicine available. Music has never been a part of my daily activity but Country and Western is nice.

A first date should be somethng not rushed as it would be better to know some one first before making that step. I would prefer to have built to that point where it is almost expected that people would meet and be able to look into each other's eyes as they spoke. Meeting for coffee or lunch is not a first date. A first date is when everything is planned to meet each others expectations of a special shared evening. A repast planned with full courses of everything, planned attire and all. I think that it should also include conversation of an event, like something previously done together that made it obvious a date was in the natural progession of things. A good first date is a very special thing if done correctly it is something that could last for years in fond memories. Too many times a first date is the only and last date wrapped into one and this because too many jump into it.
