Things that feed my soul: a lusty blues song (or two), one perfect flower or a whole gardenful, deep, side splitting laughter (hmmm, need more of that), unprovoked kindness, commitment and loyalty, and physical and emotional intimacy. I'm looking for someone who'll be my partner in every possible way. Someone I can be totally comfortable with. Who'll laugh with me and cry with me, or just sit beside me and say nothing, but feel absolutely at home. Notwithstanding the above, the most important ingredient in a satisfying relationship, I think, comes down to comfort. Feeling at home with one another—secure in the knowledge that the “chosen,” for lack of a better word, has your back. I think you know you’ve found someone you could make a good life with when you realize that in his/her presence you feel like your best and most at home self.

Some of my interests: Music, especially live; reading (just getting into Flannery O'Connor's work...wonderful storytelling) and being read to; traveling, gardens, films, wacky TV series (Boston Legal, Six Feet Under); dinner parties with friends; live theatre; exploring new places; good food, good wine.
