So six months into this silly websearch I find out that looking for "activity partner" means I'm married looking for some on the side? Nope, not. Started to get married to my girlfriend of eight years till she changed her mind and wanted children. That was almost twenty years ago, and I'm still single. Gave up a year ago on a delightful 43 yr old woman I'd dated for three years. She liked to get half drunk about five nights a week, and I gave up trying to change that. Still single.
Roanoke ain't exactly a hotbed of available beauties in my age range, so I try the computer.
As far as goals go, I've pretty much met them, I only have to keep working to maintain. I just haven't met anyone to share my rewards.
I can do anything I'm asked to do. If I don't know, I'll learn by listening to some one who does know. (I have learned to listen, since the talkers are often paying my invoices).
I like any music well presented by talented musicians, shooting pool, dancing, playing a number of sports. Hanging out in any part of the natural or manmade world, and soaking up all around me is big on the list. I take photographs, not pictures, draw anything I can see (or dream up when I'm working), and I've been cooking 98% of my meals since I was 17. I've gotten good at that too. ( Though I can't bake a cookie, I don't think). I have two beautiful bird dogs, but nowdays there aren't many birds to hunt, so I try to load 'em up and take 'em to where they are once or twice a year. (Texas, Oklahoma, Maine, Ontario, Wisconsin) Not too many people do that anymore, but I grew up doing it with my Dad, and it's part of life for me now. The dogs are cool as poop, and I love taking care of them. They are as close to pets as working dogs get, I guess.
I've seen a lot of the world (it's in the photos I mentioned if you want to see too), and if I get the chance to continue, I will be seeing more. Buenos Aires is on the radar for this winter. Wanna go?

For a first date I'd do something that interests my date
