I enjoy boating, scuba, water skiing, and racquetball just to name a few. I am not a bookworm. I am a grandparent many times over, but I don't feel like it, think like it, or act like it some times! I still enjoy the adventure of my professional occupation of flying aircraft, and currently have considerable time off between assignments. I am a serious DIY, and can repair, design, or construct most anything. I tend to be sincere, honest, quiet, and a little reserved until a closer friendship develops. I am capable of sitting still long enough to see a good movie, or enjoy a dinner out. I will occasionally indulge in a "Lazy Day" and just never even make it out of bed, but this is rare. I live within my means and don't mind living modestly if necessary.
I am a little more intellectual/analytical than emotional (but I do have a big heart), and expect effective, reason based dialogue with those that I am close to. Friendly, verbal sparring can be fun! Friendly, respectful, sarcastic humor is allowed! Be prepared to laugh at ourselves....I find this to be a healthy form of honesty!!

I would rather participate than spectate, and do not follow "ball sports", or nascar on TV as a general rule. Reality shows and soap operas are not on my to do list!! I prefer first dates to be in a quiet, neutral, semi-private place.....preferably a quiet isolated corner of a restaurant for casual dining and exploratory conversation, unheard by other diners. Sometimes, a coffee shop or park will suffice for initial meeting. This is the time and place to test the social "chemistry" in each other, going beyond pics, emails, and online chat. However, under the right circumstances (weather, etc.), and if intrests are mutual, the first date could be a local cruise in my boat, possibly ending in dinner.
