What can I say about me? Tall, dark and handsome. Nah thats a lie. I am tall, my hair is mixed color, (light brown/white) and I am roughly handsome? Yeah that will work. I am warm, loving and attentive towards my mate and my spare time belongs to her. I am laid back, easy going with little to no stress to speak of and always keep a positive outlook. LIFE? I've got as many miles on this body as the space shuttle.
Ok!.... a truck driver, did that for awhile too but I'm far from needing an overhaul. I have life experiences that many only read about or see on the discovery/travel channel. Want to know where I've been? Ask. I am a railroad worker for the past 15 years. No I don't drive them. I make sure they stay on the rail. I have an associates degree in Rail Road Engineering and a PHD in life experience. I'm quiet at first but once I get comfortable I open up like flood gates. I'm witty, funny and I have a warped sense of humor. I try to find the humorous side of everything and usually can. I'm raw but not insulting. Opinionated but honest. So if you don't want to hear the truth, don't ask. I have one daughter, grown and living in another state, busy with her own life. I am fortunate to have a job that I enjoy and don't have to travel for the most part. I've been divorced for 3 years and although I have met a few people, the chemistry wasn't there, hopefully the possibilities will broaden here.
Hobbies:
There are a few that I hold dear. Sailing is my passion, however I don't get to go as often as I would like. If you've never been I recommend it. Scuba diving also ranks high but I also enjoy nature walks, a good college football game and a good movie, at home or out. I enjoy letting golf play me ...(chuckle) and I play guitar some for my own entertainment. I played the drums in bands for years so my musical tastes are extensive. I will eliminate rap and such from those taste's but most every other genre` is appealing to me.
My perfect mate:
My perfect mate would be intelligent, educated, appearance conscious, independent with few strings attached, drama free and all her baggage hopefully got on the proper flight out of her life. I'm not being frugal. We all have our designs of the perfect mate. I don't care to waist time trying to get to know someone over dinner with all the distractions that come with most restaurants, so If your idea of getting to know someone includes a night out right out of the box without even one phone conversation, then I wouldn't be interested. I think we should take time and get to know each other prior to meeting. That way we have a foundation to build on instead of picking each others imperfections apart while we are trying to fumble for interesting conversation or trying to tell our lifes story in a micro moment and being left with no connection. It would be tentative at best and cloud what would otherwise be an open mind. Besides, just because the wrapper has a few flaws doesn't mean the contents aren't priceless, but then you wouldn't know that till you opened it would you?
I am searching for the last woman in my life. The woman who will be with me in the golden years. My profile says dating. However, it should read "wherever it leads". That would be more appropriate.
