Can we talk for a second? Serious stuff soon, but for the moment, the fun part. I love to laugh and often say silly things just because it makes my friends either laugh hysterically or shake their head in awe. I can throw on my finest for a red carpet event and can shmooze (sp?) with the best of them, but I can also goof off at my local bar or methodically reduce the percentage of my DVR hard-drive being used with a good night in. I am all for having you wake up next to me on a Saturday morning and suggest a drive up the coast out of the blue and then doing it. I dance, love movies, keep an active fitness lifestyle, love driving, learning and sports. I am the guy my friends all turn to when there is a dispute to be settled because I am the nerd who either knows the answer or will find it with my phone quicker than anyone. I like a good drink and a night of having one too many is alright sometimes, but I have stuff to do tomorrow! You will not catch me in gold-flecked designer tees with rhinestones and skulls. I like a nice designer tee, but come on.

I moved here from Chicago with 3 friends just over a year ago to chase some big ol' ambitious life goals. They and a couple other friends of mine here are as close as siblings to me. Networking is a major part of my career so I will and often do talk to everyone. That said, I understand how vital it is that the person I'm involved with know how important they are to me. Would love to end up in a long-term situation but that's a little too much pressure for both of us when I don't even know your name yet. Heck, I've probably only seen 2 pictures of you (1 from the neck up and 1 from about 50 feet away, right?) I LIKE TO SHOP. If my belly is full, you can try on a million outfits and get a real opinion from me. I also like to compliment, open doors, walk on the outside when on the sidewalk, give my jacket up on chilly nights and put the toilet seat down. What can I say - I grew up in a house with 3 women!

More (semi) serious stuff. Jealousy doesn't work well with me. I don't get jealous and don't respond well to it. I have a few very close female friends that I trust - men and women CAN just be friends. I am not a health nut but I watch what I eat and I get my money's worth out of my gym membership - hopefully your outlook is similar. I do eat fish, chicken and some meat/pork, but I don't force my eating habits on anyone so if you have a stricter diet, you'll get no sass from me. I love learning new things. I'll try a museum you love, a concert for a musician I haven't heard of, or read a book by an author you adore. I can be a conundrum. My DVR has everything from National Geographic to CNN to MTV and VH1 on it. I'm smart enough to know stupid television and normal enough to just enjoy it for what it is. I like worldly discussions, I tend to do sudoku puzzles in bed if I don't have to be anywhere and prefer a pen for my crossword puzzles.

Life Outlook: Have fun and say things that make yourself laugh, even if no one else does.

Musical Taste: Owl City, MGMT, Sinatra, Jay-Z, Dave Matthews, Duffy, Anthony Hamilton, Ida Corr, Benny Benassi, Phoenix, etc. In other words, if it's good, I'll listen.

My work: I am NOT an actor. I am involved in the entertainment industry. No, it's not porn and no I'm not a millionaire (yet.) We are building some brands and actors right now. Along the way I also do some contract work for a tech company.

My passions: I volunteer for a large organization that works with children. I will accept nearly any invitation to volunteer for them that I can. I do love sports and health, but I'm not addicted. I work out regularly and am my own greatest critic, but I will eat pizza and Pinkberry from time to time.

My daughter: Is in Chicago. I go there monthly and any "baby mamma drama" I have stays there also. Starting next year she can visit LA. I'd prefer to not be done having children, but if she's all I get, I'm going to do my best for her.

I'd prefer to plan a first date based on the likes/dislikes and experiences of the person I'm going out with. If you're into sports, maybe our first date is a sporting event and dinner. If you like dancing, maybe it's somewhere that we can do that. Why pigeon-hole myself, right? Sometimes meeting to do something simple like coffee or adventurous is the best way to start.
