hello there. i'm a smart and fun little lady with big ideas. my friends would describe me as: passionate, independent, and motivated...as well as honest and big-hearted. i can be feisty if necessary, but am overall pretty sensitive and always diplomatic. i enjoy stimulating conversation...i suppose i am a bit of a nerd at heart. i am very curious about people and places and love learning new things.

i love music -- i play the piano (but can only fit a keyboard in my little apartment) and i love going to see live music around the city. always puts a huge smile on my face. i also like dancing -- i used to study flamenco which is awesome. i enjoy reading (mostly memoir, fiction, nonfiction, and humor) and writing (little bit of memoir, some poetry, lots of scribbling of ideas).

on the job front, i've always worked in writing/communications and/or education -- two areas i care about. right now i'm director of communications at a higher ed institution. outside work, i'm a mentor with a program that matches women writers (that's me) with high school girls interested in writing, which is a lot of fun. i'm still exploring where my path is taking me; i have a lot of interests and am enjoying the ride so far.

other fun facts: i'm a night owl. and a foodie. i love a good red wine. i have a twin brother who i'm really close to. in general, family is very important to me. and friends; i am lucky to have an awesome group of friends.

i am half argentine and half irish-american...a fun mix. i love to travel. some favorite trips include: costa rica, argentina, thailand, ireland, mexico, and northern california. my dad is probably my favorite travel buddy. a fascinating guy.

i love new york. probably won't be here forever, but it's perfect for now. i also love getting out of the city to visit friends, family, new places, and even a good solo adventure once in a while.

new york city is full of so many fun and interesting places...i have my favorites but am always interested in trying new places. my ideal first date would definitely include great conversation -- and take place somewhere low key that allows us to get to know each other. and if it goes well, progressing to sample some really good food would be a bonus. it's really about the company and the chemistry.
