I am originally from California and I enjoy being with people who have laid back attitudes - who don't let little things fire them up. A great guy for me would be someone who is funny, open minded, easy going, and athletic. I have an exciting job and enjoy being with people who love what they do and strive to be the best at what they do. I am a huge concert/festival (mostly rock music) fan and spend the summers outdoors hiking, playing sports, and listenting to music. I have a busy life with my kids but still find the time to pursue my individual interests. Basically I like to be around people who are happy and enjoy their lives. I have been told several times now that I am much more attractive in person. Good and bad I guess! The good news though is that I prefer to get to know people face to face.

A get-to-know-you conversation in a restaurant, coffee shop, etc. is the way to go.
