My boys have reminded me that I'm a "bad boy" when it comes to having fun, but then turn into a gentleman and a good father when I have to be serious. I suppose that's true and I'm looking for my soul mate who can enjoy both sides of me.

I am a man who has a variety of interests and tastes in activities and people. I get along with most everyone, and I'm done with baggage influencing a new relationships on either my part of my potential mate's. I tend to be gregarious and light-hearted, and I enjoy a multitude of things. I won't embarrass you at formal occasions (I'm actually trained for such occasions) but I prefer more informal things such as motorcycle rides, hanging out at the dirt races, walks with my special lady, etc. I think it's best to be friends first, as I don't want my judgment, nor a special lady's judgment to be clouded as often happens when romance enters before friendship. My relationship style is FAITHFULNESS and FIDELITY, and any relationship I have will be the last one of my life (God willing) when He chooses to bring her to me.

I have two boys who are my pride and joy, the oldest is 19 and is starting his second year of college studying engineering, and the younger one a wonderful 9 year old with a zany sense of humor and is a great athletic talent in several sports.

I enjoy riding motorcycles and cruising on my Goldwing for daytrips and sometimes weekends to Branson, etc. when the weather permits. I enjoy all types of music and have performed everything from raucous and fun country music to music theatre. I still sing, although not as often as I once did.

As for my "prefer not to say" status about my body type...Just who is happy with their particular body type at our age?! Huh?! Well, I'm no different, and having gone through the valley of the shadow of death of cancer a bit over 5 years ago, the chemo did a number on my joints, and with the inactivity that comes with recovery and avoiding pain, I'm heavier than I want to be, although now thing are changing and I am finally returning to my quite muscular and active normal way of being. I am currently working to get my body size and weight back down, and would love to have a supportive partner who would like to just take walks with me while getting back to the shape I was in prior to my go round with cancer. (I don't think the joints will stand the pain of jogging just yet). I love being active, and at one time was a pretty decent athlete, and I have every intention of getting back into the saddle of being a good older athlete in the present and near future.

(Now to a final disclaimer: Ok, I've talked before about baggage, both for me and a lady. Let's be real -- anyone who has lived the years to maturity somewhere above 40 will have baggage and perhaps an insecure self-image(as do I). However, my hope is that the years will only have served to give me and that beautiful woman wisdom and the appropriate body shape that comes with the trials of life. I hope the stresses, trials, and former relationships are no longer baggage, rather that they are at this stage of our lives simply excellent references as to what we've learned and what will make us more excellent people, AND more accepting and compatible. That said, I look forward to meeting a lady who isn't DRAGGING around old baggage and doesn't have some guy who is a major reference or influence in her life at this time).

Could be just about anything. Depending on the lady, we could meet to determine if we would like to proceed further, or perhaps go to a place that would be low pressure and enjoyable for both. Going on from there depends on the chemistry and from there the second date would likely differ insofar as being a little more planned so as to insure a setting to get to know each other even better.
