it would be an understatement to say that i am interested in recorded music and visual art. i make, collect, and study both voraciously. i am primarily a photographer, and am learning the craft of printmaking. i have a great passion for people and their stories, and how i can translate these experiences and states of conciousness through the written word and/or pictures. i have a small body of work that has gotten some praise, and my art has sold. i'm a pretty joyful person. open, and interested in what's going on...i've had some ups and downs, but i have no regrets. it is what makes me human and brings me together with others, and informs my work. were all just trying to do this thing as gracefully as possible. one quality i enjoy in myself is an attention to the minutia of life. the small details that most forget, or don't notice. ephemera. therein is the magic...i think. i find it everywhere, and i am rarely bored. that's for sure. as i said, music is lifeblood to me, and it's been my dearest old friend since i can remember. eclecticism is the name of the game. i'm simply looking for a lovely woman to share the journey with.

i live within walking distance of some of the city's best ethnic restaurants. i feel that first dates are best in daylight hours..for one you can SEE each other, and also, it eliminates the stress and awkwardness of where to go after dinner. but it also leaves the option to extend the date into evening if things are going well. i think it works good. have a nice brunch or lunch together (preferably outside if it's nice), then a walk in the park, or a stroll through the neighborhood. sometimes just sitting at a cafe and sipping coffee or wine, and talking can be very satisfying. you can learn alot about a person that way. if it feels right - repeat the experiment!
