So I've been on the fish long enough to realize we are all here for the same reason. There is some reason why we are unable to meet someone out and about. We're too busy, shy, can't afford to go out, think everyone at bars are stupid and or dumb... What I can't seem to figure out is why we think it'll be different on plentyoffish.

So I wonder exactly what I can possibly put in this blurb of myself that will spark someones interest. I have tried the minimal description, full detailed, the suggestions above (hobbies, goals, music) and nothing seems to work. So I find it odd that the few woman who actually message me don't even appear on "my matches" page (so of course I'm not interested) and that the woman I message never respond.

Is this site all a joke? Is anyone really on here with the expectation to actually find a relationship besides me?

I'm sure this tactic isn't going to work either. But message me,and we can hang out to see if things will work. :)

But for what it's worth everything in the "fill in the blank" section is absolutely true. The pictures are, for the most part, within the last year. I am shy until I get to know people..then I don't shut up, Im very competitive, my friends are very important to me (yes, I love them), Im not the greatest speller (neither is my iPhone), and icecream and brownies make me smile.

Physical attraction is important to everyone, I'm no different. No ug'os, no one that remotely rivals me in weight (I'm 170 so 125 for you would be pushin' it), must have a job, I'm not looking for an instant family (but if it finds me I'm ok), and straight hair is way hotter than curly.

Oh and one last thing...You don't want games? STOP PLAYING THEM!!! Your not going to meet anyone unless you message someone. This means your going to have to reply to a message. Be nice and just say your not interested. If we get to the point where I get your number... Call me or text me sometime. I can't do all the work. Oh and finally if we hang out once or even twice, and you decide that things aren't right...Don't leave me hanging and not answer calls/texts mysteriously; never to hear from you again. If I'm calling, I'm genuinely interested. Please don't leave me in wonder. WTF?

Let's be realistic here... There is not a nearby beach, I barely know you... Were not going anywhere far or expensive. Stop putting these things in your profile..... So it looks like drinks? Coffee, beer, wine, soda? Maybe some appetizers?
