Well, I've successfully launched my son into adulthood (he's a US Marine!! ooh-rah!) and now it's my turn! I'm a working actress specializing in voice-over. I had the pleasure of working in a long-running play in Philly that closed last year and just finished the Inaugural production at a new theater in the Mayfair section of Philly. It's been interesting, to say the least! I have many interests and am always open to trying new things. At this point in my life, I don't have time for games. If I meet someone and we click, great! If not, no big deal, let's just be adult about it and move on, no harm-no foul. I enjoy meeting people and have been told that I'm fun to be around. I'm open, warm and loyal (almost to a fault!). I'm a passionate friend and would be open to being a passionate lover as well. I believe any good, long-lasting relationship needs to be predicated on a good friendship... and that's an excellent place to start anything! My son has turned me into a bit of a sports nut! I enjoy watching football, basketball, baseball, volleyball and lacrosse (my son played for a Division III college). I'm also a nut about the Olympics! I love movies, cooking (I've been told I'm pretty awesome), entertaining, reading, cards, board games, the beach, amusement parks, being around any kind of water, parasailing, yoga and traveling (when I get the opportunity!). I'm interested in being more physically active and would love to learn how to play tennis or golf (although I'm pretty sure I'd get addicted to golf!) I've been focused on my son for a long time and now I want to focus on me. I've recently shed 40 lbs and am working toward my goal weight. It's a process and I'm just enjoying the journey! I'm not a skinny-minny, so, if that's your preference, I totally understand and wouldn't want to waste my time or yours! It's all good! I'm looking for someone who's honest, warm, affectionate, intelligent and funny (sarcasm welcomed and appreciated)! I love to laugh and make others laugh! There's nothin' like sharing good joke! I'm looking for someone who can handle a woman who isn't looking for a knight in shining armor! I'm not interested in someone who has the need to "rescue" a woman to feel strong. I'm not a clinger and am independent and self-reliant. I want someone who wants a companion, friend, lover and partner. I want to have FUN! That can mean hittin' the town or playin' cards at home. It can be traveling or a quiet dinner by the shore. I'm far from high maintenance, but would like to feel like I am a priority in someone's life since I'd make them one in mine, if the chemistry was there. :o)

To be honest, I'd love to hang at an amusement park! It's amazing what you can learn about someone while hanging upside down going through one of the loops on an inverted roller coaster!!!! But that might be a bit too intimidating for a first date... ;o)

Realistically, I'd like to spend a first date somewhere relatively quiet so we could chat and get to know one another a bit more. Perhaps over a nice glass of wine and a beautiful cheese plate at Le Beau Monde off of South Street! Then, if we enjoy each other's company enough and the weather is nice, a stroll along South Street or along Penn's Landing would be a lovely way to end a first date. :o)
