ABOUT ME—

Very energetic, fun loving single dad who is outgoing and successful, loves to travel, meet new people, and enjoys new experiences. I like to make every day count and like to keep the drama low in my life. A spiritual center is important to me. Life is too short to not be focused on being happy every day! :-)

I have a diverse background filled with a lot of fun adventures and stories – I have been exposed to many cultures and am open and laid back. I think my chemistry profile on here is pretty accurate. Yes I overuse the smiley but mean it ! :-)

I spend a lot of time with my 4 year old son as a single dad - he is a great kid that everyone adores. We spend a lot of time getting out and exploring the world which means I get a lot of time learning to view the world from his eyes. :-)

I have been in Austin now for over a year and I love the change in latitude! I work from home and live next to family in a great area in SW Austin. I have been actively exploring the area but have lots of fun stuff on my list yet like wine tours in Hill Country, exploring restaurants, the Texas coast, Austin and surrounding areas!


FOR FUN—
I love exploring with my son - visiting and experiencing new places. Sometimes I get overzealous, other times we just have fun at home relaxing or hanging out with family & friends. It is all about the balance! :-)

MY JOB—
I am a telecom architect - a fancy way of saying dreaming up the cool new stuff your cell phone does. My job has always let me interface with folks overseas. That is very cool and I love technology and my job!

MY RELIGION—
I was raised Catholic (including nun treatment!) but attended a cool Baptist church before moving here. Not found my church landing spot in Austin yet but would like to get back to attending regularly. In place been doing my own Bible study.

MY EDUCATION—
I have a dual electrical engineering and computer science degree that has taken me a long way. In my job I am continually learning and looking ahead at what's next and I love that! I will never view my education as done.

FAVORITE HOT SPOTS—
I love to explore local and far! I have travelled to many places in and out of the US. Local eats I love include Chuy's and Salt Lick but we love variety and try a bunch of places. We are always planning cool & fun outings somewhere. :-)

FAVORITE THINGS—
I love chocolate - that's a food group isn't it!? I am a bargain shopper and love to hunt down deals. I am a music fanatic listen to a wide range of music from around the world.

LAST READ—
I read way more than the ave bear - I love to learn. Last few books read include Eat, Pray, Love, Last Lecture, Time Traveler's Wife, and Twilight. I also do my own Bible study. I read a lot of tech and managerial material for my work.

MY PETS—
I have a great white persian cat named Quiso he is very layed back and friendly. :-)

A woman who is also an explorer that has a good sense of themselves and is comfortable in their own skin. She must love the daily life adventure and not just fall into the daily grind. MORE ABOUT ME—

I grew up on a farm in the vineyards of western NY (west of Buffalo). I have lived all over – Albany, Providence, New Haven, Chapel Hill, Paris (France), Plano, and now Austin. I have lived in Texas 10+ years and love it – I cannot imagine leaving Texas anytime soon!

My work has let me travel all over the world including the UK, Canada, Israel, Switzerland, and France. I had the awesome experience living in Paris. That was fantastic and I was able to use Paris as a base to travel the rest of France and Italy in my time there. That was an incredible experience I miss Paris!

Before I knew it I had also visited all over the Caribbean and Mexico on a mix of cruises and trips. Throw in Alaska, most all of the US east coast and midwest and some west coast trips too. Planet Earth is amazing – mountains, beaches, snow, water, land, cold, warm. So little time to see it all!

WOW YOU READ THIS FAR—

Top question for me - yes I have primary custody of my son! He lives with me and I have been taking care of him on my own since he was 18mo. I am very open about it ask me. My son’s mom is not overly involved in our lives (she is in Dallas). I am one of the lucky dads who have custody. If you are not sure you want children or list have kids as none for your date I respect that. I am positive that I want the cool family deal including more kids. :-)

A cool low key date over coffee to meet first and chat to see if any interest is great but I am outgoing and up for anything for first date lunch, dinner, cycling, museum, festival, concert, etc. I love an adventure and to explore future dates hopefully are a fun balance of relaxing and getting out things. :-)
