I am originally from Orlando Fl but have made Jacksonville NC my home after retirement from the Navy. I was a Hospital Corpsman in the Navy (Medic) and served most of my 20 year career with Marine Corps. My hobbies are working out 4-5 times a week by playing basketball and participating in Crossfit. Being in good shape and nutrition are very important to me. I have been told I don't look my age. To anyone reading my profile, please don't take it as me bragging because personally I hate braggers. My father lived to 102 and I would like to live long as well although I know you can be in good shape and drop dead the next day. I am 49 and have never smoked anything and have never been drunk ever in my life. I desire a woman that works out also and nutrition is important to her as well. One thing that is NOT important to me is race. It doesn't matter to me what color you are. I enjoy movies and reading, but mostly I listen to audiobooks in my vehicle which happens to be at this time, Napoleon Hill. I love going to the beach on the weekends (only during the summer)to relax. Church is very important to me as I go every Wednesday and Sunday. I am involved part-time in a nutritional supplement business. I don't have children but would like to someday (with the right person). I believe you should make everyday count because you never know when it may be your last. I have a kind heart and love to help people, but don't mistake my kindness for weakness. I am a positive person. I stay away from negative people. I am looking for a serious relationship and really don't have time for games. You know...been there, done that. My goal or aspiration is to be a good husband/father someday and enjoy my family by spoiling them. I would ask what were her interests and then based on her interests I would decide. I would look for feedback to see if she liked what I decided. I believe the man needs to decide but she needs to be happy also about the decision. What comes to mind (and not necessarily in order are) dinner, coffee, going to the beach/park, or a nice play and whatever we mutually agree upon. I would say movies, but can you really get to know someone at the movies? Probably not! Movies would come later after we have had time to talk.
