About Me
Hi, how are you? I’m never exactly sure where to begin when attempting to explain who I am, but I suppose I should start off by mentioning that I am basically just an extremely considerate, always welcoming, exceptionally open-minded, people pleasing, willing to do whatever it takes to make those around him happy, type of guy. I would consider myself to be accepting of all types of people, and a firm believer in second chances. First impressions are solely first impressions; they are only a small portion compared to someone’s entire personality.
I've been told I'm a pretty funny guy. I have a big heart, I'm very affectionate, and I'm extremely close to my family and true friends.
I am a very lighthearted individual, and I don’t like it when others take themselves too seriously. For this reason, I tend not to associate myself with those who are elitists; I enjoy the company of honest, sincere people. I generally look on the brighter side and see the humor in even the most grave of situations—when appropriate, of course. The way I see it: life is too short not to be happy.
Time is my worst enemy. In my life, I would like to see everything, and do everything, and there are just not enough hours in a day, nor days in a year.
The future is something I take very seriously, which is why I’d like to use my recently obtained degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University to aid in the development of alternative energy or sustainable building design. In addition, because I am also very interested in music, sound and audio, I might consider a career in acoustic design, possibly constructing auditoriums, opera houses, and their sound systems.
To counteract how boring all of this might sound however, I’m also hoping to get a second job at night: DJ-ing bars & clubs. I’d like to think I have some pretty good taste in music, and nothing satisfies me more than watching people groove to the tracks of my choice. I probably won’t be on Broadway anytime soon, but this is one way I can definitely be a crowd pleaser.
Hopefully, between these two jobs, a luxurious apartment in the city isn’t far behind. I am originally from about a half hour east of NYC on Long Island, but have spent the past five years living in Boston, attending college. Needless to say, I have become very accustomed to urban environments, and at this point, can’t imagine living any other way.
Sarcasm is my second language. Then there's Italian, but I like sarcasm better because I don't need to use a pocket dictionary as often.
As far as musical tastes go? Here’s a few specifics: funk, house, showtunes, trip-hop, electronica, drum n' bass, R&B, acid jazz, smooth jazz, downtempo, ragtime, old school hip-hop, motown, alternative rock, classic rock, country, Flamenco guitar, Spanish instrumental, Middle Eastern, disco, classical, lounge, big band, and opera. Basically...everything. From Andrea Bocelli, Cole Porter and Sinatra, to James Brown, the Chili Peppers and Nine Inch Nails, I will listen to it, and probably have listened to it all; music makes up a huge part of my life. I would say I love at least a few songs from every genre of music, but never every song from all genres...and, naturally, some more than others. If you name an artist and I haven’t heard of it? I’ll probably be willing to give it a listen, and actually, some of my most favorite songs to date I have found simply by mistake. However, I will say that my favorite type of music is the kind that's best danced to...for sure.
