So, here we are. If you read my tag line you might have noticed I claim to be from the south as well as the midwest. Yes, I am still a sweet southern girl; however I can hold my own when need be. That is the midwest in me. I've been in NY for about 9 years now. You can learn a lot in 9 years. I've moved around quite a bit while growing up (escaping the FBI and all...you know how it is:) so I know how to adjust to new situations easily. My family mainly stuck to small towns so I have a tendency to prefer the simple things. Moving has also made me a bit independent...but not too independent though. I'm in NY because I needed a place to nurture my musical side. There is not much call for classically trained singers in the south or midwest and Disney didn't want me....lol. Oh by the way the southern accent still exists when I want it to:).
During my adventures on POF I have noticed many of you like to chat via email, IM, and text messaging. While I think that is great to an extent, getting to know someone requires a bit more investment from both sides. I'm sorry but these forms of communication are impersonal and just not enough....don't you agree:)

A first meeting should be kept simple. Just meeting for a drink (coffee/other) is fine with me. Not everyone is going to "click" on a first meeting so might at well take some of the pressure off.
