I am, by all accounts, a fun guy with a great sense of humor who doesn't look (or act) his age. People usually list "intelligent" early on when they describe me, but I'm more of a pop culture guy than someone who reads Tolstoy. I read every day. I love music, movies and comedy. One friend calls me a music historian, but I don't know if I'd go that far.

I also love animals, and do some volunteer work, but I don't have animals myself. I live in Manhattan, and like to avail myself of Central Park (it's a short walk from my apartment) and I actually enjoy riding the subway. Weird, huh? I'd describe myself as "athletic" but from actual "athletics" rather than the gym. I play sofball in Central Park in the summer, and like all New Yorkers, I walk a lot. I enjoy museums--especially The Museum of TV & Radio.

I'm a one-woman man, & I'm told by female friends that I'm a "great catch" which I only mention because of the name of this site. I have big sisters, so I learned to respect women at an early age and at my own peril. I'm a gentleman who holds doors and says please and thank you. I'm enough of an optimist to be giving this site a try, and to list my actual age despite being able to pass for much younger--I don't believe in starting a new relationship with a lie.

A walk in the park would be a nice way to start... I like movies or coffee, or going to see bands. I'm a long-time clean and sober cat, who'd prefer a sober kitten, but moderate drinking or even smoking isn't a problem for me.
