10/31/09 update - I decided not to pass our candy this year. Church was at the same time and I decided to go there instead. I did go and see the MJ movie on Friday - it was really good (probably to the point that I will see it again!).

First of all - where are the good girls? Those that don't smoke, want the best for themselves/families, and who only believe in one marriage (yes, I know I am divorced - long story)?

Its always difficult to talk about yourself. I keep on going over my profile in my head, wondering if what I am feeling is expressed in the words that I write here. I don't always think that I am successful in doing that. So, with that being said, I'm going to write a little bit now and I'll add stuff as I think of it. That sounds fair to me.

I'm just your average guy. I am the hopeless romantic. I love my career. Its taken me a long time to get to this point, but I'm proud of where I am now.

Running has become a new hobby. My goal is to be able to run a marathon by the time I am 40. I also like to grill out and I attempt to cook (not always successful, but I try).

I live in an apartment complex. There is a pond out back with ducks on it. Yes, I know I am only 36 years old, but I still like doing the old man thing and feed the ducks in the morning (9/18/09 update - Canadian Geese are pigs and steal food from the other ducks. They also hiss when they are ticked off. And, they aren't afraid to come close to me. I know this because there is geese #$%^ on my patio which I now have to clean.).

Traveling is also a passion of mine (I should hope so as its my job as well!). I haven't been off of this continent yet, but I do hope to change that in the future.

Whoever invented the Oreo Cookie is a genius!

Whoever says that onions add flavor to a meal - not really sure about this one. I make plenty of meals without onions and they taste pretty darn good to me! :)

Whoever added water to 2% milk and now calls it "skim," well, that person probably had something to do with the onions (see above comment). And, skim milk has a blue tint to it (I don't drink blue milk. I don't drink Elmer's Glue either (otherwise known as whole milk)). Anyone who says otherwise might be related to the onion guy.

I listen to Gregorian Chant as I am laying in bed in the evening. Its relaxing and creates an environment where I can go over the events of the day.

I love coffee (cannot say the same about onions - noticing a theme yet?).

Music: Wide, wide, wide variety

A couple of things to save you some time: First, I can't and won't bend on the smoking thing. If you smoked in the past, that's fine. If you are trying to quit, then you are still smoking. Its nothing personal against you. Its all about health. Second, please have a pic. I'm not that shallow, but you know what I look like, so I think its only fair. to write.

People don't want to act like they are in high school. I thought that I agreed with those sentiments, but I might be changing my tune. I mean, really, what is more romantic than getting a note asking if you want to "go together?" And the next note asks if you want to sit together and hold hands at the pep rally! I think that we might have the middle/high school mentality all wrong. Maybe they really do have it right and they know how to be a true romantic! Food for thought.

As I think of more things, I'll update this profile.

I like to explore. For example - I know that Necco Wafers (even though I hate this candy) are made in Boston, the headquarters for Red Lion Hotels is in Spokane (along with the home and college of Bing Crosby), Trump Tower is in mid-town Manhattan next to the United Nations, Matt Roloff really does take his red scooter everywhere, and Chris Hansen has a boat with GPS and an autopilot (and, no, I didn't meet him on, "To Catch a Predator").

First dates - All that I want is a place where we can both relax and have some good conversation. No movie theaters on the first date (how can you talk?).

Worst case scenario - I make a good friend and someone that might just want to hang out as friends.
