Yes, I used to play guitar for KISS... Sure, it was in my parent's back yard, my guitar was a broom and my best friend played some upturned trash cans for a drum set... but man did we rock the neighborhood. I never did make it into KISS or any other band, but I'm still in love with the guitar and my best friend became a garbage man!

Now a little more about me...

I'm laid back, yet energetic. I love being surrounded by friends as well as having time alone to unwind and contemplate.

I'm the proud father of a wonderful little boy. He's just the coolest little guy and I love being able to teach him about the world.

I'm not a sit on the couch and watch sports all day on Sunday kinda guy. I do LOVE to play paintball (well at least I did... haven't played in a couple years), and I love the rush from skydiving. I did Tae Kwon Do for many years (but haven't formally studied in a long time) and I currently study Shaolin Kung Fu 3 days a week - I'd forgotten how much I love martial arts.

I love philosophical discussions and was a philosophy major in college. I had a very hard time answering the religion question. The majority of my bookshelves are covered with books on religion and philosophy... everything from Christianity, Taoism, Buddhism, atheism, etc. I'm fascinated by philosophy/spirituality in general.

I'm a pretty happy person and comfortable expressing myself. I take life seriously - but not TOO seriously. If I can't laugh at myself... then I hope someone else will!

I LOVE... LOVE to dance. Throw on some house music, techno, DnB, salsa or swing (I'll fake the last two), and put me in the right atmosphere and I'm ready to get down (that includes weddings... I was always the groomsman that would get the brides grandma out on the dance floor).

I'm a code monkey for IBM. I develop web applications that interface with back-end enterprise data for the insurance industry. I then "web-enable" all that data so that people can view their insurance information on the Internet. Yes... the business/insurance part is as boring as it sounds. I enjoy the technical parts of my job though and it provides me a crazy amount of flexibility (I work remote).

After my work day is done I either play with my kid (on the days I have him) or plot how to take over the world. Seriously, it can't be THAT hard can it? So far not a single plan has worked out, but I'm a dedicated individual so I'm sure one day I'll come up with the master plan. Eventually, I'll work playing with the kid and world domination into a single activity... I mean, I'll need a successor anyway right? ;O)

I do not like watching sunsets on the beach while holding hands, I'm not looking for someone who will be my best friend, and I don't think a sense of humor is important. *obvious tongue in cheek* Ok honestly, those are all pretty good things I just wanted to get all the cliche stuff out of the way right out of the gate.

I'm good at...
* Fatherhood.

* I can find most anything on Google.

* I'm a great listener and I'm often told that people feel comfortable telling me anything.

* Bubble wrap... I can pop the bejeebies outta those things.

* Video games in general - I get down on all kinds of games but lately I'm a total geek when it comes to Rock Band/Guitar Hero - but don't ask me to sing (no seriously, it ain't pretty).

* I have a gift for finding the perfectly cooshy (is that a word?) pair of socks. Seriously, I love the way [new socks] feel.

* I'm awesome at playing devils advocate.

* I can find Where In The World Waldo is.

* I'm toooootally gifted when it comes to watching Spanish soap opera's and making up my own story line.

Music: I like all kinds of music but my favorite is electronic music. That said, it's not uncommon to hear me blasting anything from John Denver to Metallica.

Note - because a few people have asked: No, my head is not shaved but it is cut really short. ;O)

First date... how about skydiving?

While "I love the nightlife... I like to boogie" I think a really loud bar/club would be less than ideal. First dates should provide an atmosphere to get to know someone (in other words... no movies!). It could be something as simple as meeting for lunch/coffee or grabbing a drink in the evening... nothing overly complex for the first time out.
