I can be very easy going, fun and adventurous. I like to try new things and often go with the flow, but I am also a very determined and driven individual. I am very caring and always try to be helpful to others. My profession as a special education teacher of trouble teens fits my personality (structure/organization balanced with A LOT of flexibility). I come from a very big Catholic family, and my sisters are my best friends. I hang out with my family often, and they are a big part of my life. However, work is work and home is play time. I enjoy my family, friends... but hate being booked every night of the week. I enjoy going out (restaurants, good pub, sporting events, etc...), but also value my quiet nights at home.

I am a big sports fan, and like most sports. My favorite teams are the Bears, Leeds United, and the Dodgers. I also like the outdoors (camping, hiking, biking, and walking). One of my favorite things to do is cook a great meal for friends and family.

What I have learned from my sisters successful marriages is that both partners try to give the other one what they need to be happy. I believe that a deep respect and understanding of the others needs will result in both partners happiness. I think it is important to be friends as well as lovers.

For me a first date could include, coffee, a meal, or a movie. I like to go somewhere familiar and comfortable for a first meeting. I usually pick a restaurant with a fun atmosphere, but conducive to conversation. I can usually get a good idea if my date and I are a match, by the way he responds to the restaurant I have chosen.
