I love to laugh, especially at myself! I think some people take things way too seriously. I work as a nurse so I spend enough time being serious in my professional life. I love to travel, spent a lot of my 'younger, more carefree days' traveling & hope to again.

I enjoy being outside, more so in warm weather, but I do like to ski & skate in the winter. I've found that if I go somewhere warm & tropical, the 'long Maine winters' are more tolerable. I am about to embark on a lifelong dream of mine- going to Africa to do some volunteer work & go on a safari.

I've been told I look younger than my age, & I certainly don't feel it. Some people might say I usually don't act my age because I enjoy goofing around & making people laugh. I like 'dressing up' for a special night out (or in) as well as wearing my old ripped up jeans & a t-shirt. I like reading books or watching good movies-something about being transported to another place & time.

I'm a very giving, supportive & loyal friend; some of my closest friends are people I've known since Primary School & we try to get together every now & then. Honesty & open-mindedness are important to me. I tend not to get along well with people who are judgmental, racist or just plain mean.

I truly believe a smile can change someone's day.
