I am strong, yet weak; shy, yet bold; wise, yet innocent; moral, yet flawed. I've overcome much and am looking forward to a peaceful middle life and maybe a special someone to share it with. I've been divorced for 14 years and still believe when the right guy comes along, I will marry again. I'm a romantic at heart.
I love to laugh and enjoy the beauty in life. I love rain and thunderstorms and beautiful sunsets, as cliche as I know that sounds. I'm really an easygoing kind of girl; perfect guy would have the same easygoing outlook. The ability to laugh at yourself and the crazy stuff that happens in life is a MUST.

Family is the most important thing in my life. I'm from a large, loving family and my sister is one of my best friends. I have 4 kids who are grown, though not necessarily gone, who I raised pretty much alone after my divorce. I need a guy that understands that just because your kids are grown, doesn't mean you no longer have "kid issues". They're good kids, but still young and learning. My philosophy is that you have to let them fail, but be ready to give them emotional support when they need it.

I recently went through one of those rare life experiences that makes you realize what's important, to not take anything for granted and that there is a higher hand guiding us. Also, my first granddaughter was born in July and I'm experiencing all the joy that goes with that. She's a little beauty.

I love books and movies and games that challenge the mind. My taste in music is varied and includes country, pop, classic rock, alternative, folk. And if you play an instrument, I will probably swoon for you.

I'm honest and open and looking for someone I can be myself with. Someone who understands the challenges that come with maintaining a relationship. Someone who is intelligent and can teach me things and is open to learning things from me.

BTW, I am not interested in moving out of the area. I know that limits my options considerably, but that's just the way it is. Family comes first.

Lunch...in a public place:) Just talking and getting to know each other, taking it slow and easy. If we laugh alot, there's a good possibility for a second date.
