I appear to be very outgoing and social yet I'm incredibly shy when it comes to actually asking someone out. I'm not a big bar/club person but I certainly know how to have fun.

The following are some of the characteristics which have been used to describe me – sensitive, caring, romantic, animated, creative, a great listener, generous and love to please others. I have a quirky, yet great sense of humor, and I love to make people laugh; I also know when to step aside and let someone else have the spotlight.

As for dating I think simple activities like going to a bookstore cafe, window-shopping, or even board games can be just as fun as a fancy dinner out, movie or concert, etc. I think all activities are fun when you enjoy your company.

Music is one of my greatest passions... in fact its my Oxygen. I'm the type of person who grabs a CD or gets a playlist ready for a 5 minute drive to get milk down the street. Always love to have music playing. I love lots of kinds from pop/r&b to techno, some rock, punk, power-pop, indie, dance, even Jpop & Middle Eastern pop, and the list still goes on... basically anything but country :P Some favorties off the top of my head: Portishead, Radiohead, Greenday, My Chem Romance, Evanescence, NIN, Avril Lavigne (yes, that's right), Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga, The Offspring, Yellowcard, Arctic Monkeys, Joy Division, The Cure, uggh... this could take forever.

Random likes: Fruity Pebbles, Fall Weather, Anime, Coke Zero, Sushi, Pizza, Ice Skating.

Random dislikes: Hot humid weather, Spiders, Long lines, Brussel sprouts.

The sun is setting... dramatic music... we walk along a pier... then suddenly... NINJAS! Jumping in from every direction!! I take them all out with my cunning Jujutsu moves!! We then jump onto a speed boat and take off into the horizon... ok, um...

Let's face it, first date can be awkward no matter what, so I like to take the pressure off and try to just 'hang out' as friends would with some activity we would both like to do. I think good conversation comes naturally under those circumstances. I guess the standard dinner and/or movie thing is cool or a physical activity like minigolf, bowling or ice skating would be really fun. At the same time spontaneity would be fun too and not always having everything planned out.
