About Me
Mild mannered, affectionate, and humorous man(Jerry Clower is the greatest) that enjoys the simple things in life. Although far from rich monetarily, I am rich in many other ways. I believe in hardwork and realize there is no such thing as a "free lunch". This ailing economy and the subsequent slowdown in work has given me much time to reflect on the priorities in my life. Family and friends are my most valued possessions. My self worth is not determined by my bank account or earthly possessions, but my heritage. I love to read and especially real life survival stories. My all time favorite is "Endurance", an account of Sir Ernest Shakelton and 26 other men who survived two years on a floating ice pack where temperatures dropped to 70 below and gale force winds. To be rescued, he and two others had to sail in a 22ft. boat over 800 miles to the nearest inhabited island. Unbelievable, their will to live. My Christian faith is very important, and I have read the Bible through twice and am about half way through the third time. I have made some bad choices and have a very young son and no wife. My precious sister and brother-in-law are raising him, but I spend time with him each day. He is the light of my life and I would not change that for anything. His smile is more beautiful than an exotic sunset on a tropical island. I love him dearly. Sketching and painting are a lifelong pursuit, although I have long dry spells. I love h.s. and college football(War Eagle). My taste in music is easy listening, praise and worship, and any that can portray a deep and meaningful message (be it love, pain, truth, hope, etc.)
First Date
A burger basket at the old Dairy Queen is hard to beat, and maybe a ice cream cone for dessert. We can talk about the weather, politics, movies, pets and even ourselves.
