I'm an ambitious but easy-going guy, a writer (internationally published) & photograper (including a contract with a New York City photo agency), who works full-time in government logistics management, a somewhat shy guy who undertook a two-year world journey by scooter to promote friendship and communication (though I'd never ridden a motorbike before nor been outside North America)... It became a profound education in the world and the self. There were so many inward and outward discoveries that gave new perspectives on couples, family, friendship, marriage - of life & love.

I wrote a well-received book about the journey: IN THE LONG RUN: A Hopeful World Odyssey. EWAN McGREGOR had this to say about it: "My two trips by bike were amazing and life changing but short compared to Tom's two-year traveling extravaganza! One Man, One Scooter, One Hell of a Ride!"

The adventures included shaking hands with Pope John Paul, being kissed by a lion, an incredible experience atop Mt. Sinai, a welcome at the UN in New York...

I'm world-travelled but at heart a home-loving guy who is looking for that one special girl who wants a close, loving relationship with her guy and loves simple things - walks, talks about anything, movies, music, private dancing, closeness, dinners out, dinners in, get togethers with family and friends, smiles and laughter, a bit of adventure, and lots of two-way love, affection, romance, and passion, sunrises and sunsets, and trying new things together. I have two wonderful daughters who live on their own and an awesome 16-year-old son who lives with his mother.

I love most any music that moves the spirit, mind, and body, but not heavy metal, etc. As well, I love movies, reading, workouts, traveling, photogaphy & writing, woodworking, antiques, watching documentaries, home improvement shows,etc.

Bought a Pelican kayak today! Looking forward to touring the lakes, rivers, and oceanfront around Vancouver Island for photography. Also got a fantastic mint vintage Morris acoustic guitar - sounds beautiful! - always wanted to learn how to play one - now on with it!

Well, our first date could be quite flexible - depending on the comfort that each of finds in each other along the way. It could be just meeting over coffee - or we could end up doing a lot the first day.
