Welcome to my profile and thank you for stopping by :)

I've just moved back to NY after spending a longgggg time up in Toronto Canada (yes, up there in the frozen great white North and I'm back here to thaw out! LOL)...
I've been transferred to the NY office of the company I work for (didn't take much to convince me to say yes ;) ) and I work in the city & live out on LI for the time being.

I'm looking to meet new people and maybe if I get lucky find that special someone :)

I'm the most kind, loving, generous, respectful, fun, loyal and good-natured person you'll ever meet. I'm a mature thinker but can still act like a lil girl at times. I'm not afraid to make fun of myself at the sometimes silly things I may do.

I am passionate about helping others while helping myself feel good about what good deeds I have done. I love my job and the rewards that come from hard work. I consider myself a 'shark' because my job is quite competitive and the industry I work in is as well. I'm also a 'closet' nerd and love all things geek!

Underneath this tough exterior is indeed a heart of gold :) I have strong feelings about how communication, honesty, trustworthiness and and mature love are in a long-lasting relationship.

In my spare time, I meet up with friends (new and old) to get together to catch up on what has been happening in my life, share stories about what has been happening in theirs and have a lot of laughs. Since being back in NY, I've been venturing out to explore and experience what I've been craving and missing out on since I've been in Toronto for so long. I enjoy spending time with my family, even if it's just a few hours on a Sunday afternoon. I do like to watch television to catch up on reality shows and watch the Sunday morning news.

I also like to pamper myself with 'girly' days. Like any woman I like shopping for myself and for others. I do admit to liking celebrity gossip and I will buy weekly magazines from time to time. I like long weekend getaways and general travel. I'm dedicated to my family, to my best friends and to being successful in my line of work. I enjoy my life and have fun living it... I look forward to sharing my life with someone and being just as much a part of theirs.

- I could start to hiccup at the strangest of times
- I started to collect business cards when I was 9 (now it's part of my job lol)
- I'm a tad obsessive about cleanliness and tidiness of my home (I'm just like my father in that way), but I'm afraid of vacuums
- in a past life (lol) I wanted to be a librarian
- I may go to sleep with my socks on, but I wake up the next morning with them off. I seem to take them off in the middle of the night and I don't even know it ?


I'm looking for a man who is confident in himself (but not egotistical), is goal-oriented, is close to his family (but not so close that he still lives at home) and wants to be close to mine as well, allows me to be myself but also encourages me to be a better person, stands up for what he believes in and will challenge me and tell me I am wrong, carries himself with dignity and respect and is someone who I can always count on.

If we're meeting during the day, perhaps a cozy small coffee place where we can sit and chat to get to know each other better. If we happen to get together for an evening, an intimate restaurant that isn't so busy so we can share a meal and have a bottle of wine. Either way, the feeling at the end of the date would be that we both would smile and say that we would like to see each other again :)
