I'm an easy going single mom. I love to laugh and try new things. I'm bright, cheerful, witty and down to earth. I beleive jelousy, anger and possessivness are a waste of energy. I'm looking for a friend that might grow to be "the one".

I'm not the greatest at talking about myself but I'll give it a try. I work with special needs kids so naturally I'm patient and non-judgemental. I really enjoy taking my two sons (9 & 12 years old) out on little adventures like tree-go, rock climbing or searching for crabs at the beach. I also enjoy quiet time in front of a good movie. I beleive in constantly striving to be a better person (mom, friend...),being self aware, communicating effectively and keeping things light and stress free. I don't sweat the small stuff. My friends say I'm feircely loyal and probably too patient.

In the spirit of honesty I have to say I'm not a big sports fan, I'm allergic to dogs and I'm not a great house keeper... At least I'm self aware.

The perfect guy for me is a cross between Steve Martin in "Cheaper by the Dozen" and Dermot Mulroney in "The Wedding Date". No that doesn't mean I want to stay at home with our 12 kids while my guy goes and makes a living on his back... nice try though. I just think a sense of humour is vital as well as being able to prioritize and let the small stuff go. I also really appreciate the little things that make you beleive you are being thought of by the ones you care about... Ok, a little Matthew McConaughey from "Sahara" (ie: reckless adventurer) wouldn't hurt either... Did I mention I like movies?

First dates are just to get to know someone. To me that means doing something you normally do with friends. Maybe he might join me with my friends one night at the pub or I might join him hanging out with his friends. It's no pressure, relaxed. After all even if chemistry is instant, the best relationships start as friends.
