I love to travel, learn new languages, play guitar/piano, hike, ultimate frisbee, soccer, movies. I'd love to work overseas again, but the west coast is sweet as well. I read as much as possible (generally non-fiction, but some fiction is excellent), and am trying to finish a book (publishing it is a whole other ball of wax). I live in a fairly isolated location on the Trinity River, sometimes I'm amazed at how awesome it is. But it does make it difficult to meet new people. My music selection is fairly wide, but generally I lean more towards mellow music as opposed to heavy (though I have some hard rock, especially old favorites from when I was younger). KSLG is probably the closest radio station to my taste (or DMPulse in Des Moines, Iowa), but they don't play any Ween, unfortunately.

I guess I think of first dates as simply an opportunity to get to know one another and see if a second is desirable. So conversation is key, whether over coffee/tea or beer is flexible.
