I'm a real person looking for a real friend. Being genuine and caring is important for me and I would like to find someone who is genuine and caring as well. Someone to laugh and have fun with, someone to cuddle, someone to trust, someone to confide in, someone to share the good and the bad, someone to tell my hopes and dreams to, someone who's special to me always...

By the way, I don't drive. The picture of me getting out of the driver's seat with keys , sunglasses and a white cane is a joke. The white cane is for real, I haven't driven for more than 25 years and I'm smarter than that... Although it might be fun given the right circumstances... smile.

My volunteer stuff is important for me, it gives me something to do and it takes up a lot of my time. I enjoy being on my laptop and listening to music. Life has it's challenges, but then that's what life is all about... Everyone has challenges and there what makes us who we are and I believe we're forever evolving... A good friend once told me life is a journey not a destination, we are who we are because we've been where we've been,experienced what we did and made life altering decisions... I get that and I'm thinking nothing but good thoughts and life is great, well at least most of the time and I never said I was perfect... Although... smile.

I believe that we don't always have control over all the happenings and goings on in our lives, but I do believe we make choices as to how we handle stuff. Attitude is important and plays a big role in how others view us and how we view the world. A positive and optimistic attitude is a good thing and I think that's me most of the time and I guess that's why I'm here...

Doing the email thing to start with is a good way to get acquainted and find out a bit about each other. Acknowledgement, even a few words, from you or me, offers encouragement and possibly validation to this whole process, that's what the friendship thing is all about, especially if it's real and it's all tied in with that trust stuff. It's all good and lots of positive things happen with those first few emails... smile.

A first date or meet up would need to be around other people. I'm thinking dinner might work? Possibly a concert? Actually I think it really wouldn't matter what we do as long as we're real and sincere. Just about anything can be fun. Going out for coffee and a chat would work too. It's not so much what you do, but who you're with and the whole point is getting to know the other person in a relaxed and fun way. Now I've always wanted to learn how to play golf or maybe curling, what do you think? smile.
