I'm originally from the UK but have lived in the US for the past 11 years. I have moved around a reasonable amount and have been in the LA area for a little under two years. I play soccer and tennis to burn off steam. I love walking my little dog around town and down at the beach and generally getting out into the sunshine as much as possible. The area has so much to offer and share with the right person but this seems to be a challenge in itself. I have just bought my first iPod so musically I'm hoping to expand my horizons but I still find Bob Dylan to have said it all. I read as much as possible and especially love the lazy Sunday newspaper experience. All in all I’m pretty laid back and would prefer a quiet bar with a bit of character where you can hear the other person speak than something trendy and loud. I love going to small theaters as this seems like a better bet than most of the latest blockbuster movies.

The first date should be as relaxed as possible. There is enough potential stress in the situation without having to dress up for the occasion. My approach is that in the worst case scenario you have just had a nice conversation with someone even if you do not make a connection.
