Life is like chemistry. It's about timing and putting the right combination of elements together to make a reaction. I'm looking to spend my free time with someone with whom there's real chemistry. When you're with the right person, it's just there and everything clicks.

In my spare time, you might find me reading, having a good conversation at a sidewalk cafe, working out, taking walks by the ocean or on terra firma, playing softball, and sightseeing. Going to the bar and grill is still fun, but not where I have most of my fun anymore. I'm a decent cook, but I also like dining out at restaurants of different cuisines. My one passion though is movies. I still prefer going out to one, which would include having a good meal and post-movie banter. My taste in movies, like my music, is ecclectic: anything from action flicks to chick flicks, from Indie to Pixar. It's all good. As far as music is concerned, I still love the 80's stuff, but will listen to whatever is on the radio, including classical.

I'd like to meet someone intelligent, light, fun, and self-confident. If she knows herself, is happy with herself and her life, she's an ideal companion in my book. I'd prefer someone who is non-judgemental and optimistic. Eagerness to try something new and the capacity to take the time to appreciate the little things are turn ons. I think casual dating first is the way to go. When there's no pressure, there's more opportunity for openness and honesty in my opinion. If the chemistry is still there after a while, I'd like to see things go further into something more long-term. Please understand my children are my greatest joy and my priority, so do not be offended if you do not meet them. I want to protect them from confusion, and you from an awkward situation. If things go well, after awhile, I'd be happy to make introductions. Lastly, in case you were wondering, I have been separated for quite some time, physically and emotionally, and my impending divorce is real. Papers have been filed and a timely resolution is expected. Those of you who have been through this can appreciate this arduous process.
