Hello my name is Anders. I grew up on Chicago's north shore and have lived in Vero Beach, FL for the past 25 years. We also have a family ranch in Wisconsin where my Mother lives during the summers that I visit as well. I went to Lake Forest High School (IL) and attended college in Colorado, Sweden and Florida. I am in the real estate development and property management field and I am licensed broker but it is pretty slow right now so I have free time. I have taken many seminars that pertain to the professional designation that I received in real estate. I have renovated numerous historic properties, some of which that received national and local acclaim. I especially like the mediterranean and old spanish style architecture. I speak fluent Swedish and have lived and worked in Sweden where both my parents were born. I travel often but love my home and family time. NYC, Monte Carlo, Lake Tahoe & Las Vegas are some of my favorite spots. I own a home in Vero Beach and in Stuart and I am back and forth between the two cities. I am also currently looking for a new vacation home out in the Western USA. I love the mountains and skiing. I have one wonderful son age 19 that now lives on his own and goes to College.
I like thrills and adventure, I shoot skeet and am a certified scuba diver. Boating and the beach are also favorites. I attended formula car race school and prefer Grand Prix type road races like Le Mans and the 24 hours of Daytona. By going online to find my soulmate I am hoping to broader the possibilties of people I would meet that I normally would not and since I don't hang out in the bars anymore (like I used to when I was younger) I thought I would take a chance on this type of forum. I recently read this quote from 60 Minute's Andy Rooney that made me smile and I wanted to share.....

"As I grow in age, I value women over 40 most of all. Here are just a few reasons why: A woman over 40 will never wake you in the middle of the night and ask, 'What are you thinking?' She doesn't care what you think. If a woman over 40 doesn't want to watch the game, she doesn't sit around whining about it. She does something she wants to do, and it's usually more interesting. Women over 40 are dignified. They seldom have a screaming match with you at the opera or in the middle of an expensive restaurant. Of course, if you deserve it, they won't hesitate to shoot you if they think they can get away with it. Older women are generous with praise, often undeserved. Ladies, I apologize. - For all those men who say, 'Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?', here's an update for you. Nowadays 80% of women are against marriage. Why? Because women realize it's not worth buying an entire pig just to get a little sausage!"
