OK, here's the thing. Although I have checked long-term because that is ultimately what I want, I am in no hurry to get there so currently you could consider me a dater that eventually wants long-term. A forum post suggested the term "available for a commitment," I like it but alas, no wide appeal so far. Also, if you get an e-mail from me, I may be interested or I may just be saying hello because something caught my attention in your profile or pics. I like people and this place doesn't always have to be uber serious, ya know? Happy hunting and now let me return you to your regularly scheduled profile.

I am technically a stay-at-home mom but because I work from home I am also an entrepreneur that works full-time. The kids by the way are now 9, 13 and 16. I like to get out and do things but am equally comfortable hanging out at home (which is more than occasionally messy with three kids). I love watching movies, listening to music, traveling and occasionally just being stupid. I love to read and would be perfectly happy in a prison or mental hospital if I didn't have to make license plates or go to therapy because it would afford me the time to read undisturbed by children or work (of course assuming that I had done nothing to warrant being in prison or a mental hospital). I have a somewhat sarcastic, smart ass, dry wit sense of humor that I inherited from my father whom I dearly miss. Have no grandiose expectations of life. Want to raise happy healthy children that become productive members of society and hope that my children are as successful as they wish because my daughter has promised to build a wing for me on her house, older son is going to buy me cars, and youngest son has promised to live with me for the rest of his life (please God no!).

Looking for someone that is kind, caring, good with kids, funny and considerate. Although I don't want to be attached at the hip, I do want someone that will do things with me like ballgames and spending time with friends. Prefer someone who is middle of the road Christian and will go to church regularly or occasionally. Middle of the road to liberal politics. Can communicate and knows the difference between a disagreement and an argument. Please know what you want and although I do not plan on falling instantly in love, want someone that is open to a long term relationship. I remember who I'm with so you don't need to. Would prefer someone that is financially stable and can cope with the ups and downs of life. Please include a decent picture and spell check.

I finally have new pictures! Two are from March 2008, two were taken June 2007, one is fall 2006 and another about six years old. The other is a showcase of my sense of humor; it was taken in 1982 and illustrates that I am fairly well-preserved.

Would prefer to meet at a restaurant or somewhere else that does not require shouting to talk but won't end up being a horribly uncomfortable shades of blind date situation.
