About Me
What do I do with my time? Working/ cooking/ reading/ working part time/ cleaning/ taking care of the cat/ spending time with my room mates/ dealing with the ****ing health insurance. Fairly mundane bullshit.

I work as a solar installer. I am currently withstanding a few big challenges at work. My supervisor is driving me crazy--he is really good at pushing the big "failure" button on my chest. Possibly the biggest fear I have is of being a failure, and I think it has caused me to not pursue my "dreams" in the past. So I'm choosing to look at this conflict as an opportunity to explore that.
The other thing that takes up much of my time on weekends is visiting my parents in Connecticut. My father is sick with lung cancer, so I visit whenever I can.
I am very interested in permaculture and low-consumption living. I'm building a compost bin in our backyard and have started hanging my laundry out on a line to dry it instead of relying on electricity.
I stand out in a crowd. I'm tall, thin, muscular, I have a septum piercing, and I'm very "angular", and I have my own style. I think people may be put off by my intense visage. (Although I do have soft eyes.) Personality-wise, I think people see me as non-judgemental and a pretty good listener. When they talk to me for more than a few minutes. This is what I've been told by people who have bothered to tell me. But you know, I don't know what the vast majority of people notice when they first see me. I recently was told this: I am "snide, one-eyebrow-raised, seemingly disinterested, but with a core of real warmth, kindness and go-get-emness. Overall, super." I think that's about right.
First Date
First date? hmmm. Bowling, or a hike, or a bike ride, or a science-fiction movie. Preferably post-apocalyptic.
