My life has been blessed. I love my son, my job, my family and friends. Many of my hobbies are centered around them. I love to teach, read, shop, go to movies, putt-putt, Busch Gardens, get pedicures and relax.

I'my very close with my family and I have the most amazing, yet small, group of girlfriends that a person could ask for.
I am taking classes to obtain my Masters Degree in education. Even if I won the lottery, I would continue to work because I love my job. My students mean the world to me. For several years I have had the low kids and I adore working with them. They need positive role models more than you can imagine. Hopefully I can stay in the classroom yet have the option of going into Administration once I have my masters.

I was born and raised in the area. Yes, Hampton Roads has its issues, but it is my home. With a more strict upbringing, and little fear of God, I was able to get through my teenage years with little trouble. I was a cheeleader and softball player. I met my best friend in 6th grade and we remain like sisters.. I'm down to earth, very loyal and sincere but often sarcastic - but in a funny way. Even though I don't venture into the club scene often, I still know how to have fun when I get the chance.

I love vacationing in Nags Head often but I have just as much fun in the mountains. Traveling is enjoyable period!

My taste in music depends on my mood. I try to keep up with R&B and rap a little to stay "in tune" with my teenage students. These days I find it harder to handle that in large doses! I listen to a lot of country. In the mornings I will listen to KLove, which is praise music, I feel like it calms me and puts me in the right mindset to deal with the teenage drama of the day. My son likes to dance-he gets it from his Mama- so any type of upbeat music is a good thing too :) Overall with music, I would have to say I don't discriminate - LOL.

I've come to realize that it is hard to meet people as you get older. The type of people you would meet in a bar are not usually the type you want to form a relationship with. I'm independent. I already have my own career, car and home so I am not looking for someone to take care of me. I'm looking for someone to become friends with and SHARE a relationship with!

First date... I would have to say that it is best to keep a first date light and easy. If you know the person a little bit, it is always nice to make it relaxing and funny. Sometimes dinner first is nice, other times you can skip that and go for something different.

I would say maybe going bowling and taking a trip to putt-putt would be fun. This way, you are able to chat and be a little more relaxed. Also, it isn't a date that has to be HOURS long. It can be short, sweet, and simple!
