I always appreciate a hello. Remember, age is but a number, don't let it be a wall. Talking, getting to know each other is just the beginning of the journey! Though to be honest, I'm not sure how this site will work out, but no loss in trying, plus I'm not sure how many read the whole thing anyway :D

So, a little of the basics about me. I've lived in the Dallas metroplex area for years, it's my home. I'm currently living on my own, trying to establish and prove my independence, working part time for school. I like to read romance novels, play video or board games, play some light basketball, volleyball, things like that. I do random volunteer work when I can, so that's something to know about me! I played tennis for fun with a friend, but I'm not sure if it there really was much playing when the max return was like 2 hits between us. I'm always open to trying new things! I'll at least consider it :P

I'm just a quiet kind of girl, I have been told that I'm a bit quirky, dorky even hah, as well as sarcastic at times. I'm nice in a sarcastically, but genuinely sincere way! I'm a bit quiet, but I can be really out going with people I know, you'll just have to find out in time.


Well, I put "Long Term" as the option of what I'm looking for, but really, I just didn't know what else to put. Friendships, dating, partnerships can all be developed into a long term commitment. In all seriousness, there should be an option to pick more than one! Let's see where we go :)



Anywho. What am I looking for in a guy? Is there really a way to categorize what I'm looking for into sentences? I'll try. I'm looking for a guy who's self confident, I'm not saying center of attention, impervious to emotion kind of person, but someone who's comfortable in his own skin and doesn't let what others think totally dictate his life. Considering what others think is good, but not if it's going to bring you down. Also, someone who's not afraid to show emotion once in a while. Need a hug? Do it! I like hugs. I'd also like someone to be able to talk to and who can be open enough to talk to me about anything, the little or big things in life, but then who can understand that silence can be a good thing as well. Companionable silence, that's what it's called.

To me, being friends in a relationship is a very important part of the process.

So, I'll add more as I think about them. In the meantime...

I'm definitely not perfect, so I don't expect anyone else to be.

I'm pretty easy to please, not too picky and I like to think that I'm a go with the flow kind of person.

I like casual activities. Somewhere where you can wear jeans and a shirt, I believe that you can gather a better first impression about someone's character that way, people tend to act more like themselves when being casual.

I'd suggest a movie, something corny. I'd like my date to be able to laugh at the small things, find the small pleasures in life. Then afterwards, dinner at the restaurant of his choice, which will be another way of finding out what he likes. This being the sort of traditional outtake of a date.

But! I'm also open to a lot of things. Going to a bar and playing pool. Mini golf is fun. Clubs can be entertaining, I'm not a great dancer, but I try. Stargazing? Um... sure! Going to a poetry reading? Well... if you don't mind me making comments during the reading, then yeah!

Like they say, I'll do anything for love... but I won't do that.
