I gravitate towards people who are essentially kind, perceptive, & open-minded in a way that embraces all people. I like people who are aware of how their behavior impacts others. I think it’s important to leave good tips, be friendly to the 411 person, and not infect the entire metro car with your inane cell phone conversation while I’m trying to quietly snicker at snide movie reviews in the City Paper ;)

I tend to find a groove with people who are intellectually curious, and value the people in their lives over their material acquisitions. Although my politics are a bit on the left, I still cherish my Republican friends, and we chide one another regularly.. so I’m less concerned about politics, and more concerned about finding someone that is easy going and buoyant like me :)

Friends and co-workers describe me as engaging with a dry sense of humor. I can relate to most people with facility because I see sameness before I see differences. I’ve been described as “sunshiny” and “a laugh a minute”, but that’s a cover for my depth and intensity.

I have several hobbies, none of which are requirements. I love independent & foreign films, documentaries, and I like to analyze them until I make you crazy. I like conceptual art, which I will also analyze, and make you crazy. I write short stories as a hobby and I might ask you to read them (you don’t have to though). I have to work out everyday to feel normal. Whatever adventure sport you may be into I probably already know how to do it. I’ve explored a few dangerous ones, although recently I’ve been thinking about exploring cooking, which I’m hoping will not be dangerous :-O

My plan is to find a woman, with soul, who is fun to go grocery shopping with. If that part works out, I have the means and construction experience to build us a groovy kitchen, and then maybe collaborate on some larger projects ;)

Go to a quiet restaurant with nice ambience in a part of town where we can walk around a bit and maybe find a cool neighborhood dive bar.
