My name is Jason. I am a 32 yr old "award winning" indie filmmaker. Still feels weird saying "award winning" but yeah, our romantic comedy "The Truth About Average Guys" has won several awards. It's been in 5 film festivals and won 5 awards (2 "best comedies", a "best feature", "best actress", and a "best of festival"). We have also just signed a distribution deal with a company out in LA and our film should be in stores by February of next year.

I absolutely love making people laugh, and am in the process of having it become my career. 2010 is looking like it's going to be a very big year for me. I am hoping to find someone special before I do become successful just to ensure that she likes me for me, not for what I may become within the next 12 months.

I have a lot of interests. And even the things that don't interest me can still be fun if I'm with the right person. Of course my interests include movies. Whether it be writing screenplays or acting in films, or just watching them. I am also really into music, sports, hiking, my family and friends, animals, nature. Never been camping, but I think that would be fun.

I'm a pretty laid back guy. I like to think I am a funny, somewhat attractive, sweet guy. I have a goofy side, but I also know when to be serious. I am also a little shy at first but once I warm up to you I am like a totally different person, if that is what you are looking for then shoot me an email.

Since I have no children of my own, I would prefer to date someone that doesn't have any children, I'm not 100% against it though. I am open to having children in the future, but the way I look at it is you are going to be #1 in my life, I have to be #1 in your's. And if you have children that's kind of cheating me out of that. Come on ladies, it's only fair and you know it. It doesn't make me a shallow jerk, just like it doesn't make you a shallow jerk for not wanting to date someone that is shorter than you. ;) Of course, if I email you and you have children, you are the exception to that rule. ALSO ALSO - please don't judge me by my location, I plan on relocating next June or July (got a sweet distribution deal from my film. It will be in stores early next spring and then 3 months after that I will get my first check) Once I get that money I plan on moving. Where to? I have no idea. Chicago? Possibly. LA? Possibly. NY? Possibly. Or if I meet someone not in one of those places, I could move there also. I'll go wherever my heart leads me.

If you turn your nose up at me you pretty much forfeit the right to ever complain about not being able to find a "decent guy". We're out here. And we're very easy to find. You just have to keep your eyes open (and um, stop going for JERKS!!!)

first date? - honestly, I'm up for whatever. Anything can be fun if I'm with the right person. I'd prefer someplace quiet so we could get to know each other. There is nothing worse than trying to talk while loud music is playing in the background. Hard to get to know someone that way.

Honestly, just watching a movie, eating a pizza, and cuddling is a perfect night for me. Now, I just need to find a girl that likes that also. I am just as content going out as I am staying in.
