About Me
I get up. I go to work. Walk in the door turn everything on, set outside all the machinery I need to get rid of so I have room to work along with rental and for sale items. The phone rings, I'm told the machine I was just trying to get to needs to be done right away. I try to get something done on it. The buzzer goes off to let me know someone has come into the store. I drop my wrench having just got down on the floor where I can see what I'm doing, and walk to the stairs, down the stairs meanwhile the phone is ringing. Say hello pick up the phone. It's someone making a phone order while someone else comes in the store with more equipment to fix. The parts are upstairs so I get a counter order for parts, run upstairs, get parts run down to counter, repeat. Clear out the store, climb back up the stairs to the shop, get down on the ground pick up my wrench and someone comes in the door and the phone rings; the guy wanting to know if I'm done fixing his machine. Repeat. Thank God it's seasonal. At home I always have a project or two on the go and the yard of course. I'm a finisher. I finish things, maybe not in a linear way but sooner or later bit my bit and suddenly there is nothing left to do on that thing. Now I get to watch, and try to stop it from turning slowly back into dirt. Almost everything we have from TV's to Cadillac s are all just made of dirt we polish up. That's really what separates us from the other animals. We make things shiny, they just look for shiny things. The herd is thinning for everyone these days. I saw a show on TV about an English woman driving a billboard van advertising for a husband, she said that's what it has come to in England, the men not being interested in marriage. The way things are now why would any man. What's in it for him? I expect there will be a rebound from that comment. You go girl. So now you know why I'm single, what's your excuse? I don't want some one I like, I have friends I like. I am open to finding someone I need and needs me, an unpopular thought with the Prozac and cell phone generation I realize, otherwise what's the point of taking the risk. Not to say I'm needy. I'm about as independent as they come. As far as things in common, you don't have to be interested in something like I am, but you can accept and allow it as part of me and I can do the same. If one is interested, one will be interesting No?.
First Date
I forget. No really I forget. I think I'll be able to think of something should the need arise.
