I love to travel and have traveled all over the US and several countries in South America & Mexico. I enjoy food and wine and trying different restaurants, and new foods. I prefer to support the Mom and Pop Business' wherever I am, rather than the large chains. (A successful Christmas to me is never going to the Mall or Walmart to buy gifts) I have recently relocated to the Spartanburg area. I am learning my way around and want to start meeting people and making new friends. I have 2 grandchildren and love being an active part of their lives. I enjoy doing crafts and sharing my crafts with friends. I enjoy cooking when I have someone to cook for that enjoys eating. I prefer to cook healthy foods and trying new recipes. Sometimes they are good and sometimes they bomb.(When/If that happens then I call for delivery!) I collect cookbooks, (prefered with pictures)

I like trying new things and meeting new people. Exploring new cities or towns or countries. I like People and believe that most people are basically honest and good. I try to find good in anyone no matter how their exterior seems. I am having a difficult time with this site because it seems as though so much is judged by a picture. I know I am not photogenic and find that anything (including pure crap) can be wrapped up in a pretty package. So, how do I judge from someone's picture?

I am financially self-supporting and not presently working. (I guess this is called retired?) I miss being in the working force and am looking for my next venture in life. I am leaning toward something in the Arts field. Ummmmmmm we will see...

I believe in God and have a daily personal relationship with him. I love to share my religious beliefs but will not force them on anyone. I was raised Baptist but presently attend a Methodist Church.

I love mornings and my favorite time of day is when the sun is coming up over the horizon. When everything in nature is waking up and coming to life, it is like God's promise to us is renewed every day. I do not consider myself demanding or hard to please. I do strive for perfection in myself. Although that has loosened up over the years. If something upsets me I ask myself, will it matter in 10 minutes? Tomorrow? Next week? If the answer is no, then it really is not important anyway, don't dwell on it. Let it go. Life is too short to sweat the small stuff.

I love Baseball (Atlanta Braves) and Football (Redskins & Panthers) I love the excitment at the live games. As far as watching them on TV, I do but like to be doing something else at the same time, like crafts or cooking, just something to keep busy. I guess cuddling would be nice too but I just haven't had that in a long time.

I am completive but have no use for people who lie, cheat or steal. I am basically honest and prefer to have people/friends around me that are too. I have some truly good long term friends and value them more than life itself. It really hurts to find out someone I thought was a friend has betrayed me. I have no use for those people and do not want them in my life. I believe there are "friends of the moment" and then real true friends, we all have both. I believe to have a friend you must first be a friend, and I will do anything in my power for a true friend. A true friend is a gift and not to be taken lightly.

I love music and art and try to keep an open mind to anything new. I love going to concerts and shows and supporting the new artist, just starting out.

I love the water and being part of nature. I love water sports and being on the water as the sun rises. I miss this and have a goal of having a boat by next spring.

Something in a public place. Like dinner or a game. Somewhere we can talk and learn more about the other. Maybe a motorcyle ride or something along that line, anything really. I do not consider myself hard to please.

I like to be treated like a Lady and I really like it when a man takes the lead and makes the decisions. I like when a man opens the door for me and has manners. I like surprises.
