Having raised 3 men there isn't much a guy can do that I haven't seen, heard, or left the room over. I can watch sports but please not all day! I will cook for the big televised game. I'll fish if you put the bait on the hook. Sorry, worm guts still get to me. I'm not a chronic shopper but I do love a sale. Movies are a favorite of mine. Old & new. I enjoy reading, mostly mysteries. I can cook, but I'd rather you cook and I'll clean up. I like gardening and fixing up my nest. I bought a handy man special house and it's been a challenge. It's a work in progress. God bless HGTV. You can derive a lot of satisfaction by doing things yourself. I have deep admiration for a man that knows his way around tools and enjoys it.
I would love a place at the beach to fix up. That's a dream of mine. I find being near water & sand very centering and peaceful. Family & friends gathering for good food, good humor and conversation - that's my idea of a good time. Although, there's a lot to be said for quiet time too. Either alone or with a special someone, just hanging out at home on the deck and watching the clouds roll by.
I'm down to just one son at home and soon he'll be on his way. I don't believe I'll be an empty nester! More like - finally, it's my turn! I've done my job and so far so good. It's nice to see them come but I'm at the point where it's even sweeter when they leave.
I love to laugh. I have a somewhat naughty sense of humor and like to kid around, but not maliciously. Mostly self-deprecatingly. My interests are varied. Not too keen on discussing politics or religion but I do try to stay current.
I'm not one to keep my opinions to myself. I find it hard to bite my tongue, especially if I feel there's an injustice. I can be a tiger if my Irish gets up - but that is very rare. I'd rather talk it out and look for agreeable solutions. I've been known to pout if I don't get my way. Hey, I'm being honest here! But I don't stay that way long. Having lived with 4 men (ex and 3 sons), I can be a bit of a Princess girly-girl) I fought hard to keep my femininity with all of that testosterone in the air! I am sure you'll appreciate it.

First dates can be so awkward for both involved. Let's not expect too much. I go with the expectation of possibly making a new friend or just spending time with someone and maybe getting to know them better. Let's not expect fireworks or lightning bolts. We are at a time in our lives when we should know better. If we are both unsure of how it may go then I'd say let's meet for coffee or a drink, or just a nice walk. No harm - no foul. But if our online relationship seems a little more personal then maybe dinner or a movie. You can choose the details or if you want, I'll do it. Then we'll take it from there. :)
