I am a very independent woman who enjoys quality time with people and simple things. I believe people should be together not because they are afraid to be alone but because they truly enjoy spending time with each other. As noted, I am a christian, however I respect all faiths. As a friend once said -- I am more of a humanist that anything else. Although I own my own business and am very independant I am also very laid back. I am as comfortable wearing formal wear to an opening night live theatre perfomance as I am wearing hand me down jeans sitting in front of a campfire getting ready to crawl into a sleeping bag for the night. I very much appreciate intelligence (not arrogance!), respect of others and self and a great sense of humour. It is rare for me not to have a smile on my face and laughter not far behind. I am a very private person --so to really get to know me takes a bit of time. I'm a very practical, logical person--but really, I am fun! I have a spirit for adventure -- just not extreme adventure. Basically, my mantra is "Enjoy life! Whatever you choose to do, do it to the very best of your ability. Take responsibility for your actions and your happiness."

Hmmm--depends on the person, the time of year, the mood...... first meeting would probably be coffee but that's not really a "date". First date -- summer -- something outside-- canoeing for an afternoon followed by a barbecue or a burger and beer on a deck somewhere in the sun. Winter-- maybe skating which I haven't done since I was a kid so it better be somewhere with boards so I can stop! Followed by a fondue dinner and a nice red wine.
