I guess I'll start off with some eccentricities I have: I tend to laugh out loud at things I'm thinking about. I will always tap along to the drum beat of a good song. I might start clicking my heels while I walk down the street. I will bike over 100 km for ice cream. I want to learn German so I can go to Wacken Open Air... and confuse people at work. I sometimes rewrite lyrics for songs, either seriously, or like Weird Al.

My hobbies are mostly the same as my interests. In the spring, summer and fall, I usually bike 25 km a day during the week, 50 - 120 on weekends, as exercise and recreation. Every water sport/activity I've tried, I love. I also have some barbells I use a few times a week. I spend a good chunk of my time staying fit, which is good, considering how much I eat and drink.
As for music, I play the flute, drums, and am learning acoustic guitar. My musical tastes are varied. Rock and metal are my favourite genres, but I have everything from ABBA, Blues Traveler, Boston, Dream Theatre, Fall Out Boy, Great Big Sea, Neil Diamond, NIN, Scott Joplin, Glenn Miller, Semisonic and The Hip in my collection, with many in between. I do enjoy going out to a bar to hear a live band and have a beer every so often.
I'm the lab technician in a plating shop where I'm pretty happy, which basically means that I'm good at high school level sciences and like playing with chemicals. I'm a CEF (Certified Electroplater Finisher), and have about a year left in my apprenticeship before I get my MSF, or Master Surface Finisher, and after that, and we get a bit bigger, I'll be heading our R & D department.

As for myself personally, I'm usually a quiet, reserved person, sometimes a bit shy, though if I'm hanging out with friends my inner goof comes out. One thing you should know, most people in my life say that it's hard to tell from my expressions what I'm thinking/feeling. So if we're on a date, I'm probably having fun, I just might not be showing it.

I've usually gone with the old standbys of dinner and a movie, or better yet, a play or comedy club. I have no problems taking requests though. Since I might take a while to open up, it's a good idea to do something that we can talk about after the fact.
