Hi,

I've come to realize lately that I'm looking for someone like my father; psych majors have a field day but it's not so bad. That's a basic old fashioned guy who gets up on saturday morning to read the paper and wash the cars (I'm a morning person too), whom I can clean the gutters with or do a home project with and laugh, trust to be faithful, who cares about our community and country and does something to show it regularly, and who shares what's up with them and their feelings and listens so we can keep communication clear and open, and who has a hobby they love that's something I'm not interested in so we can have the space to do our own thing.
I also think at this stage in my life since I'm not into making babies anymore that it would be the ultimate to create something else together, whether a karate studio, a non-profit, a simple fundraiser, a business, something we're both working for together. I really need my partner to be on a spiritual path and seeking self improvement and supporting me in seeking mine own improvement.
I'm sweet yet outspoken. I try to look at situations from all perspectives and struggle to not be judgmental. I'm smart intellectually but sometimes obstinate and sometimes miss social cues but I don't mind if it's pointed out to me because then I can laugh and apologize. I like to move fast when I know what to do and can be impatient with anyone who drags their feet, but if something scares me, I can be the slowest of all. This is when I really value a partner to talk something out with...to me that's one of the most loving feelings ever. I only wear make-up when going on a date and take my shoes off usually to dance. I love children and animals, don't kill bugs, and take joy in moving my body whether skipping or throwing a frisbee. I don't do a lot of TV or driving if I can help it. I love concerts but haven't gone to one in a while..the last ones were Genesis in Salinas and Life House at the fairgrounds.
